Spring Beauty Trend Alert: Lip Oils

Brooke Slade

With spring approaching, we're all itching to refresh just about everything.

I don't know about you but, I've already started spring cleaning. I've swapped out my warm-woodsy winter candles for light spring-inspired scents like "uplifting bergamot" and "pearly rose". I've begun packing away winter clothes (and checking out spring new-arrivals online). You get the gist. So, its only natural that I, also, revive my makeup collection for spring...and I'm starting with lip oils.

I'm always looking for lip products that moisturize, provide good pigment, and give good shine...but I'm not always lucky with finding products that do all 3 well. I've run into product after product that do 1 or 2 of the 3 well...or none of the 3 and just leave my lips a sticky sticking to my lips all day (ugh!).

Needless to say, I was super excited to find out that my friends at Pinch of Colour created a new line of oil products for lips called  Healthy Lips Waterless Lip Oil. I tried the products and LOVED them. The lip oils glide on like a dream, the colors are rich and the the formula is both high-shine and moisturizing WITHOUT being sticky. Bravo, Pinch of Colour! I mean, seriously...I, now, carry these products in my bag, confidently, without a back-up lip balm because they are just as rich in moisture as they are in shine and pigment.

Check out the video, below, to see my new spring fave in 3 shades that are perfect for the season.

Everyday "Pop" Makeup with Pinch of Colour

Brooke Slade

For those days when you want to do a little more than a natural face, I've got you covered!

This is one of my more fun makeup looks. It features the skin, which is why I thought Pinch of Colour's products would be great to use for this look. I go for an "everyday pop" look when I've become bored with my  natural everyday makeup. This is my go-to face for weekend, daytime activities i.e. brunch, shopping dates with girlfriends, street festivals, etc. It takes about 10-15 minutes start to finish and you don't need loads of products (just a good few)!

Also, there's a GIVEAWAY connected to this post! Details below!

My Natural Everyday Makeup Look

Brooke Slade

Here's my go-to makeup look for everyday, day-time wear.

This look is very natural and allows your features to shine. I love this look because it's low-maintenance, only requires a few products and I never feel like I am wearing makeup. This is a great look for days off or weekend errands. For me, it's my go-to for castings, daytime activities or any time I want to look fresh but not made up.
